Minister of Cooperatives Ferry Juliantono has sought support from the House of Representatives (DPR) for an additional budget allocation of IDR 1.34 trillion for the 2027 fiscal year. The extra funds are intended to support the operationalisation of the Merah Putih Village/Sub-district Cooperatives (KDKMP) programme and strengthen existing cooperatives. Parliament's Commission VI expressed its backing, stressing the importance of fiscal support and rigorous oversight to ensure the programme stimulates village economies and improves public welfare.
