Australian Hells Angels Drug Cartel Boss Arrested in Bali
Angelo Pandeli, a most-wanted Interpol fugitive from Australia, has been arrested by a joint team from the Indonesian National Police’s Criminal Investigation Department (Bareskrim), Immigration, and Bali Customs. Angelo was detained at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport in Denpasar, Bali, as he was about to depart on a private jet.
The Director of Drug Crime at Bareskrim, Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso, confirmed Angelo Pandeli’s arrest. The police are currently coordinating with Australian authorities.
“That is correct, Angelo Pandeli was arrested at the South VIP Terminal of I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, Bali, on Saturday (6/6),” Brigadier General Eko Hadi said in a statement on Thursday (11/6/2026).
Brigadier General Eko Hadi said the arrest of Angelo Pandeli, a member of the Hells Angels motorcycle gang, was the result of a joint operation by the Drug Crime Directorate of Bareskrim together with the Class I Special Immigration Office for TPI Ngurah Rai, the Customs Regional Office for Bali, NTB and NTT, Australian Federal Police (AFP) intelligence, and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
Brigadier General Eko Hadi stated that Angelo Pandeli is suspected of using a false identity. In his travel documents, he used the identity of George Anderson Mota Correia.
“Based on the results of the immigration inspection, it was found that George Anderson Mota Correia was suspected of using travel documents that were not his own. A further investigation revealed his true identity as Angelo Pandeli, an Australian citizen holding a Venezuelan passport (suspected to be false),” he said.
He was caught as he was about to travel on the CAPA Jet private jet with flight number N917CJ on the Denpasar (WADD) to Maputo (FQMA), Mozambique route, via the South VIP Terminal of I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, on Saturday 6 June 2026. Angelo’s identity triggered a 100 per cent match on an Interpol Blue Notice.
Following the discovery, the Examination Section II of Ngurah Rai Immigration took action to postpone his departure, then coordinated with the Intelligence and Enforcement Division and Bareskrim. The Criminal Investigation Directorate of Bareskrim subsequently dispatched a team led by Head of Sub-Directorate 4 of the Drug Crime Directorate Senior Commissioner Handik Zusen, NIC Task Force Head Senior Commissioner Kevin Leleury, Unit III Head of Sub-Directorate 4 Assistant Commissioner Drago, and Unit V Head of Sub-Directorate 4 Assistant Commissioner Tohar to secure the individual concerned.
“Currently, we, together with the Class I Special Immigration Office for TPI Ngurah Rai Bali, are coordinating with the Australian Federal Police (AFP) to deport Angelo Pandeli to Australia,” he said.
Angelo Pandeli is a highly influential transnational organised crime figure and an important member of the outlawed Hells Angels motorcycle gang in Australia. Angelo Pandeli is believed to be responsible for numerous large-scale commercial imports of border-controlled narcotics into Australia, both past and ongoing.
Angelo Pandeli was last seen on 9 October 2025 in Manly, Australia, engaging in actions consistent with evading law enforcement. The AFP believes Angelo Pandeli was attempting to secretly leave Australia for Cambodia or Vietnam. Information indicates that Angelo Pandeli may possess fraudulently obtained Venezuelan or St. Kitts and Nevis passports. The AFP also believes Angelo Pandeli would most likely try to escape Australia via maritime routes.
