Jakarta Fair 2026 Traffic Engineering: Check Alternative Routes and Parking Locations
The Provincial Government (Pemprov) of DKI Jakarta has prepared traffic engineering measures around the Kemayoran area to anticipate vehicle congestion during the Jakarta Fair or Pekan Raya Jakarta (PRJ) 2026. This step was taken to ensure the smooth mobility of the public heading to JIExpo Kemayoran and other road users. Head of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Transportation Agency, Budi Awaluddin, explained that his party has mapped out alternative routes for motorists. Road users from Jalan Gunung Sahari heading towards Tanjung Priok are directed via Jalan Angkasa - Jalan HBR Motik - Jalan Danau Sunter Barat - Jalan Sunter Permai/Jalan Danau Sunter Utara, or continue via Jalan Gunung Sahari - Jalan R.E. Martadinata. Conversely, the traffic flow from the direction of Tanjung Priok heading towards Jalan Gunung Sahari (Senen/Monas) can pass through Jalan R.E. Martadinata towards Jalan Gunung Sahari and beyond. ‘We invite the entire community to comply with the directions of officers in the field, pay attention to installed traffic signs, and prioritise safety while driving,’ said Budi in Jakarta on Thursday (11/6). Budi also appealed to the public to avoid the roads around Kemayoran during peak visiting hours to avoid potential congestion. DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency officers will be on standby together with the Police to manage traffic flow at vulnerable points. To accommodate visitors’ vehicles, the DKI Pemprov has provided six official parking pockets with a total capacity of 4,967 four-wheeled vehicles and 5,650 two-wheeled vehicles. Despite the availability of parking facilities, the DKI Pemprov still advises visitors to utilise public transport to minimise density in the exhibition area. Visitors are expected to adjust their travel time to the latest traffic conditions for mutual comfort during the Jakarta Fair 2026 event.
