Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo hopes that next year’s Jakarta Fair will be more festive as it coincides with the 500th anniversary of DKI Jakarta. “I sincerely hope that next year it will be more lively, with more attendees, and that transactions for MSMEs will exceed Rp9 trillion,” said Pramono in his speech while opening the Jakarta Fair at the Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, on Thursday. According to Pramono, Jakarta Fair is one of the city’s main icons. Therefore, he hopes the fair will become increasingly popular and merrier from year to year. Pramono also wants the Jakarta Fair to be enjoyed not only by residents of the capital but also by people from other regions. President Director of PT Jakarta International Expo and General Chairperson of the 2026 Jakarta Fair Kemayoran Committee, Siti Hartati Murdaya, announced that the Jakarta Fair will be held from 11 June to 12 July this year. She stated that 150 top bands will perform over the 32 days of the event. “Accompanied by the annual Miss Jakarta Fair contest, complemented by carnival parades, children’s playgrounds, a variety of Indonesian culinary delights, and more,” Hartati noted. This year, she continued, 2,800 companies are participating with 1,800 stands, consisting of MSMEs as well as large national and international companies. It is hoped that this event will become a space that brings together trade, industrial, and creative industry players, including MSMEs.
