North Maluku Hajj pilgrims overnight in Makassar before repatriation
The Hajj Organising Committee (PPIH) for Debarkation Makassar has arranged for Hajj pilgrims from North Maluku Province to stay overnight at the Sudiang Hajj Dormitory in Makassar, South Sulawesi, before flying to their home region. Deputy Coordinator for Documents at PPIH Embarkation-Debarkation Makassar, H Aminuddin, stated in Makassar on Thursday that the pilgrims belonged to Flight Group (Kloter) 13 and had arrived back in the country. “The aircraft arrived today, and we are putting them up for a day at the Hajj dormitory so they can rest, as they have also completed a long journey from the Holy Land. Tomorrow, Friday (12/6), they will be flown to North Maluku,” he said. Aminuddin noted that the North Maluku pilgrims were collected directly by Assistant II of the North Maluku Regional Secretariat, Sri Haryati Hatari, accompanied by the Head of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah for North Maluku. Sri Haryati Hatari added that upon arrival in Ternate, the pilgrims would be greeted directly by the Governor of North Maluku, Sherly Tjoanda. “God willing, the pilgrims will be welcomed directly by the Governor before returning to their respective areas,” she said. According to data from PPIH Debarkation Makassar, Flight Group 13 consisted of 392 individuals, comprising 386 pilgrims and six officials. This number was reduced by one from the initial manifest of 393 due to the death of a pilgrim named Edy Sundayana Edo in the Holy Land.
