Pertamina CEO Finally Speaks Out on Pertamax Price Hike, Here's His Statement
The President Director of PT Pertamina (Persero), Simon Aloysysius Mantiri, has provided a statement regarding the price increase of non-subsidised fuels, specifically Pertamax (RON 92) and Pertamax Green (RON 95), effective from 10 June 2026.
He shared this information via a video post on Pertamina’s official Instagram account, uploaded on Thursday afternoon, 11 June 2026.
“In relation to the price adjustment of non-subsidised fuels, namely Pertamax and Pertamax Green, which has been in effect since 10 June 2026, we understand that every price adjustment certainly becomes a matter of public concern,” said Simon.
He explained that the decision to raise non-subsidised fuel prices was made by considering global geopolitical dynamics and international market oil prices, while still taking public purchasing power into account. Therefore, with full support from the government, Simon emphasised that Pertamina remains committed to ensuring energy availability for the public across all regions of Indonesia, especially amidst ongoing global challenges.
He further explained that this price adjustment for non-subsidised fuels is being implemented not only at Pertamina-operated gas stations but also by other private-sector gas stations. However, Simon ensured that both the government and Pertamina remain committed to maintaining the prices of subsidised fuels to prevent any changes.
“Responding to current developments regarding fuel prices, we wish to convey that the prices of subsidised fuels, namely Pertalite and Biosolar, have not changed. The price of Pertalite remains at Rp 10,000 per litre and Biosolar at Rp 6,800 per litre, in accordance with the regulations set by the government,” Simon stated.
“We thank the public for their support thus far. Let us all be wise in our use of energy,” he added.

Subsidised Solar: Rp 6,800 per litre
Pertalite: Rp 10,000 per litre
Pertamax Turbo: Rp 20,750 per litre
Dexlite: Rp 23,000 per litre
Pertamina DEX: Rp 24,800 per litre
Pertamax (RON 92): Rp 16,250 per litre (increased from the previous Rp 12,300 per litre)
Pertamax Green 95: Rp 17,000 per litre (increased from the previous Rp 12,900 per litre)
