The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has disclosed the background of bribery suspect Augusz Dewanggara, also known as Angga, a private sector individual who promised Muara Enim Regent Edison that he could alter the Supreme Audit Agency’s (BPK) findings. The KPK stated that Angga was previously registered as an expert staff member for the House of Representatives (DPR).

“As colleagues may already know, AGG was indeed formerly registered as an expert staff member, an expert staff member in the DPR, and currently for an official at the BPK,” explained KPK Director of Investigation Achmad Taufik Husein during a press conference at the KPK’s Merah Putih building in South Jakarta on Thursday (11/6/2026).

Nevertheless, Taufik explained that his team is still investigating whether Angga remains active as an expert staff member for the DPR member who currently serves as a BPK official. Taufik has not yet detailed the specific BPK official in question.

“Furthermore, whether after the official concerned assumed their position at the BPK, this arrangement was still utilised? That is also a focus of the subsequent investigation,” Taufik said.

“But because this is still in the early stages, that is what we have found. This means there is a connection, linkages which will be developed later,” he added.

Angga is a private sector party who coordinated with suspect Titin Rita Lestari, a civil servant and technical controller, to follow up on altering the BPK audit results. According to Taufik, Angga received a fee of Rp100 million provided by Abi as a sweetener to change the BPK audit findings.

“Regarding AGG’s capacity as a private party, he acted together with TTN as a state organiser, specifically a technical controller, or in her structural position as a sub-directorate head at the South Sumatra Representative Office,” Taufik stated.

The KPK has named five suspects in the alleged bribery case involving the Muara Enim Regency Government and the BPK. The KPK has seized a number of pieces of evidence, including documents, a car, electronic evidence, and Rp200 million in cash.

The suspects in this case are: 1. Angga, a private party; 2. Titin Rita Lestari, a civil servant and Technical Controller; 3. Edison, the Regent of Muara Enim; 4. Cory Erin Hardi, marketing at PT Millenium Solusi Abadi; 5. Fika, a Director of PT Millenium Solusi Abadi.

Angga and Titin are charged under Article 12 a or b, or Article 11 of the Corruption Eradication Law and/or Article 606 paragraph (2) of Law Number 1 of 2026 concerning Criminal Adjustments in conjunction with Article 20 letter c of Law Number 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code.

Meanwhile, Edison, Cory, and Fika are charged under Article 605 letter a and/or letter b of Law Number 1 of 2026 concerning Criminal Adjustments and/or Article 606 paragraph (1) of Law Number 1 of 2026 concerning Criminal Adjustments in conjunction with Article 20 letter c of Law Number 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code.
