Rokan Hilir Pilgrim Passes Away in Batam

A Hajj pilgrim from Rokan Hilir Regency, Riau Province, who was part of the BTH 08 group, Lamitun Manrejo Adam binti Manrejo, has passed away at the Batam Free Trade Zone Authority Hospital after receiving medical treatment upon her arrival in the country.

The Regional Head of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah for Riau Province, Defizon, stated in a briefing received in Pekanbaru on Thursday that the deceased had received medical attention in Batam due to deteriorating health. She subsequently passed away on Wednesday night (10/6).

“On behalf of myself and the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah for Riau Province, we express our deepest condolences on the passing of Mrs Lamitun Manrejo Adam. May she be granted the best place by the side of Allah SWT, may all her sins and mistakes be forgiven, and may the family left behind be granted patience, fortitude, and sincerity in facing this tragedy,” said Defizon.

Defizon explained that during her treatment in Batam, the deceased was accompanied by her daughter, who travelled from Pekanmu to provide support and care. The body was subsequently flown to Pekanbaru on Thursday (11/6) and taken to her hometown in Rohil for burial.
