Jakarta Fair 2026 Opens, Governor Targets Transactions Above IDR 8 Trillion

Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has officially opened the Jakarta Fair Kemayoran (JFK) 2026 at JIExpo Kemayoran, Central Jakarta. At the opening of the city’s largest annual exhibition, Pramono targeted a transaction value exceeding IDR 8 trillion during the event.

Pramono stated that the target is higher than last year’s achievement, which recorded transactions of IDR 7.3 trillion with 5.9 million visitors. “I heard this year hopefully it can reach IDR 8 trillion. If it reaches IDR 8 trillion, the record will be broken year after year,” Pramono said in his speech on Thursday (11/6/2026).

In addition to transactions, Pramono also hopes that the number of Jakarta Fair visitors this year can surpass six million people. “Last year visitors were 5.9 million, transactions were IDR 7.3 trillion. Hopefully this year it’s above IDR 8 trillion, with attendance above six million,” he said.

Pramono noted that this year’s Jakarta Fair is special because it is being held ahead of the celebration of Jakarta’s 500th anniversary in 2027. He hopes next year’s Jakarta Fair can be held more festively and become a key icon of Jakarta’s five-century celebration. “I truly hope next year will be more festive, more visitors, and also transactions for MSMEs exceeding IDR 9 trillion,” he added.

On the occasion, Pramono also promoted the advancement of Jakarta’s public transportation system. According to him, intermodal transport connectivity in Jakarta has now reached 93 per cent, supported by the MRT, LRT, TransJakarta, Transjabodetabek, JakLingko, and Mikrotrans. Therefore, he encouraged the public planning to visit Jakarta Fair to use public transport. “If there is an event, please use public transportation. Public transportation in Jakarta is relatively better now,” he said.

Meanwhile, the President Director of PT Jakarta International Expo and General Chair of the 2026 Jakarta Fair Kemayoran Committee, Siti Hartati Murdaya, said that this year’s Jakarta Fair runs from 11 June to 12 July 2026 to enliven Jakarta’s 499th anniversary. According to Hartati, 2,800 companies are participating in this year’s event, with 1,800 stands showcasing various products ranging from MSMEs to national and international companies.

In addition to the multi-product exhibition, Jakarta Fair also presents various entertainment, including music concerts featuring around 150 bands over the 32-day event. Hartati hopes that Jakarta Fair will continue to serve as a platform for promotion and business development for MSMEs and national industries. “May Jakarta Fair Kemayoran develop across Indonesia and provide benefits for the society, the nation, and the state,” she added.
