Subsidised Fuel Prices Unchanged, Pertamina Assures Energy Supply Amid Global Turmoil

The government and Pertamina have ensured that the price of subsidised fuel will not change even though there has been a price adjustment for several non-subsidised fuels. This step is considered important to maintain people’s purchasing power while ensuring energy access remains affordable amidst the dynamics of the global energy market.

PT Pertamina (Persero) President Director Simon Aloysius Mantiri said that the price of subsidised fuels, namely Pertalite and BioSolar, will be maintained in accordance with the provisions set by the government.

‘The price of subsidised fuel, namely Pertalite and BioSolar, has not changed. The price of Pertalite remains at Rp 10,000 and BioSolar at Rp 6,800 per litre in accordance with the provisions set by the government,’ said Simon on Thursday (11/6/2026).

According to Simon, the adjustment only applies to non-subsidised fuels, namely Pertamax and Pertamax Green, which came into effect on 10 June 2026. He understands that changes in fuel prices are always a concern for the public because they directly impact daily economic activities.

He explained that the adjustment to non-subsidised fuel prices was carried out by considering the development of world oil prices and various external factors affecting the global energy market. Nevertheless, Pertamina continues to pay attention to the community’s ability to access energy.

‘Adjustments to non-subsidised fuel prices are carried out considering global geopolitical dynamics and oil prices prevailing in the international market while continuing to consider people’s purchasing power,’ he said.

Simon emphasised that amidst various growing global challenges, Pertamina together with the government is committed to maintaining national energy security. This commitment is realised through efforts to ensure the availability and distribution of energy runs smoothly to all regions of Indonesia.

According to him, government support is an important factor in maintaining the stability of the national energy supply while ensuring that the public continues to receive reliable energy services.
