From Scavenger Villages to Animal Shelters, the Benefits of Sacrificial Meat Continue
The spirit of sharing during the Eid al-Adha 1447 H momentum remains strong even after the holiday has passed. Through a strategic initiative, BOLT, a pet food brand from CPPETINDO, collaborated with Rumah Zakat in the ‘BOLT Berkurban 2026’ programme. This programme converts sacrificial meat into canned corned beef packages to ensure the benefits reach a wider community and are longer lasting. More than 1,000 aid packages have begun distribution to groups in need. Unlike conventional fresh meat distribution, the choice of corned beef format (SuperQurban) was made due to hygiene, practicality, and a longer shelf life, allowing distribution to be carried out in stages to remote areas. The initial distribution was carried out on Wednesday (10/6) in a scavenger village in the Pancoran area of South Jakarta. At this location, more than 50 families received this nutritious food aid. In addition to targeting densely populated settlements, the programme pays special attention to workers at more than 15 animal shelters who have dedicated themselves to maintaining the welfare of furry animals. Erwin Hartawan, Chief Commercial Officer of CPPETINDO, explained that the second year of this programme is also strengthened by a digital campaign titled ‘BOLT Berkurban: One Moment, A Thousand Kindnesses’. Through the Add Yours feature on Instagram, the participation of animal lovers is converted into real assistance for others. ‘This is a tangible manifestation of BOLT’s commitment that our concern extends beyond animal welfare, but also brings a positive impact to the environment and fellow humans,’ said Erwin Hartawan. In line with this, the Chief Marketing Officer of Rumah Zakat, Didi Sabir, appreciated this innovative step. According to him, the management of sacrificial meat in a practical processed form is highly effective for expanding the reach of benefits to remote corners that are difficult to access with fresh meat distribution. The programme is also part of an effort to strengthen family food security, improve the nutritional quality of the community, and reinforce the spirit of mutual cooperation and social care. Through this collaboration, BOLT and Rumah Zakat hope that the spirit of social care can be continuously maintained. Going forward, BOLT is committed to continuing to present social initiatives that align with the company’s values in making a real contribution to the community and the surrounding environment.
