Home Affairs Ministry: 'Forum Daerah Bersuara' Gathers Input on President's Programmes
The Agency for Domestic Policy Strategy (BSKDN) of the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) has stated that the ‘Forum Daerah Bersuara’ represents an effort by the central government to obtain input from the regions, ensuring that policies align with community needs regarding the implementation of the President’s 10 priority programmes. “Synchronisation of the President’s 10 priority programmes is not only carried out at the macro level, but we also need to look in detail at implementation on the ground so that the government can understand the needs and challenges faced by the regions,” said Head of BSKDN Kemendagri Yusharto Huntoyungo during a Regional Coordination Meeting for Monitoring the 10 Presidential Directive Programmes, titled Forum Daerah Bersuara, in Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan, on Thursday. According to him, the forum serves as a means for the central government to obtain direct input from regional governments so that the implementation of national priority programmes can run more effectively and in accordance with the conditions of each region. “Regional governments have a strategic role in optimising local potential to support the success of various priority programmes of the President implemented across all regions,” said Yusharto. Besides developing their potential, regions are also expected to be able to capture various new opportunities that can be utilised to drive development and improve community welfare. “Regions are expected to be able to develop their potential and capture new opportunities to drive development. Regional creativity and innovation are key to strengthening the implementation of the President’s priority programmes,” Yusharto stated. Acting Regional Secretary of South Kalimantan Province, Subhan Noor Yaumil, said the forum was an opportunity for regional governments to convey progress and challenges faced in implementing the President’s priority programmes. The South Kalimantan Provincial Government expressed its support for the implementation of the Forum Daerah Bersuara as a platform to strengthen coordination and collaboration between the central government and regional governments in overseeing the implementation of national priority programmes. “We hope that the increasingly strong synergy through this forum can support the implementation of the President’s 10 priority programmes more effectively, on target, and provide real benefits to the community,” said Subhan.
