Home Affairs Ministry: 'Forum Daerah Bersuara' Gathers Input on President's Programmes
Local governments play a strategic role in optimising local potential to support the success of various priority programmes of the President implemented throughout the regions.
The National Policy Strategy Agency (BSKDN) of the Ministry of Home Affairs stated that the ‘Regional Voice Forum’ is an effort by the central government to obtain input from the regions, ensuring that policies align with community needs regarding the implementation of the President’s ten priority programmes.
“The synchronisation of the President’s ten priority programmes is not only conducted at the macro level, but also needs to look in detail at the implementation on the ground so that the government can understand the needs and challenges faced by the regions,” said the Head of BSKDN of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Yusharto Huntoyungo, during the Regional Coordination Meeting for Monitoring the 10 Presidential Directive Programmes, titled the Regional Voice Forum in Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan, on Thursday.
According to him, the forum serves as a medium for the central government to receive direct input from local governments, so that the implementation of national priority programmes can run more effectively and in accordance with the specific conditions of each region.
“Local governments have a strategic role in optimising local potential to support the success of various priority programmes of the President implemented throughout the regions,” said Yusharto.
In addition to developing existing potential, regions are also expected to be able to capture various new opportunities that can be utilised to drive development and increase community welfare.
“Regions are expected to be able to develop their various potentials and capture new opportunities to drive development. Regional creativity and innovation are key to strengthening the implementation of the President’s priority programmes,” said Yusharto.
The Acting Regional Secretary of South Kalimantan Province, Subhan Noor Yaumil, stated that the forum provides an opportunity for local governments to convey developments as well as the challenges faced in the implementation of the President’s priority programmes.
The South Kalimantan Provincial Government expressed its support for the implementation of the Regional Voice Forum as a platform to strengthen coordination and collaboration between the central and local governments in overseeing the implementation of national priority programmes.
“We hope that the increasingly strong synergy through this forum can support the implementation of the President’s ten priority programmes more effectively, precisely, and provide real benefits to the community,” said Subhan.
