Pertamina CEO Finally Speaks Out on Pertamax Fuel Price Hike
PT Pertamina (Persero) President Director Simon Aloysius Mantiri has spoken out regarding the decision to increase the price of non-subsidised fuel, Pertamax (RON 92) and Pertamax Green (RON 95), effective 10 June 2026. He stressed that amidst ongoing global challenges, Pertamina, with full government support, remains committed to maintaining energy availability for communities across all regions of Indonesia. The following is the official statement from Pertamina CEO Simon Aloysius Mantiri: βIn response to current developments regarding fuel prices, we need to convey that subsidised fuel prices, namely Pertalite and Diesel, have not changed. The price of Pertalite remains at Rp 10,000 per litre and Diesel at Rp 6,800 per litre, in accordance with government regulations. In connection with the adjustment of non-subsidised fuel prices, namely Pertamax and Pertamax Green, which took effect on 10 June 2026, we understand that any price adjustment is a matter of public concern. This adjustment to non-subsidised fuel prices is made by taking into account global geopolitical dynamics and prevailing international market oil prices, while still considering public purchasing power. This adjustment to non-subsidised fuel prices is not only applied at Pertamina petrol stations, but also by other private business entity petrol stations. Amidst the ongoing global challenges, Pertamina, with the full support of the Government, remains committed to safeguarding energy availability for communities throughout Indonesia. We thank the public for their support thus far. And let us together use energy wisely.β The new prices effective from 10 June 2026 include: Subsidised Diesel at Rp 6,800 per litre, unchanged; Pertalite at Rp 10,000 per litre, unchanged; Pertamax (RON 92) at Rp 16,250 per litre, up from Rp 12,300; Pertamax Green 95 at Rp 17,000 per litre, up from Rp 12,900; Pertamax Turbo at Rp 20,750 per litre, unchanged; Dexlite at Rp 23,000 per litre, unchanged; and Pertamina DEX at Rp 24,800 per litre, unchanged.
