UBSI Lecturers and Students to Represent Indonesia at Global Youth Congress 2026 in Thailand

Universitas Bina Sarana Informatika (UBSI), widely known as the Creative Digital Campus, has once again demonstrated its prowess on the international stage. UBSI has officially dispatched a delegation to represent Indonesia at the prestigious Global Youth Congress (GYC) 2026, which will be held in Bangkok, Thailand, over three days from Thursday to Saturday, 2-4 July 2026. The UBSI delegation consists of Cicih Nuraeni, a lecturer in the English Literature Study Programme, along with two outstanding students: Kayla Shabirah Putri from the Communication Science Programme and Bella Amelia from the Information Systems Programme. In Bangkok, they will join hundreds of other delegates from around the world in a global youth forum focusing on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) agenda. Cicih expressed her gratitude and enthusiasm for this golden opportunity. She affirmed that the UBSI delegation’s participation is tangible proof of the campus’s commitment to producing a solution-oriented global generation. ‘Our participation in this prestigious event is the result of thorough preparation and full dedication. We want to bring an academic perspective as well as real action from Indonesian youth to the international stage,’ said Cicih in Jakarta on Thursday (11/6/2026). The Global Youth Congress is part of the Global Youth Conference on SDGs (GYC), an annual conference on a global scale. This forum is projected to build an international youth network, where youth from the Asia-Pacific region and Indonesia are positioned as its main driving force. Through this platform, participants are challenged to exchange ideas, build collaborations, and formulate concrete solutions to various global issues. During the three-day congress, delegates will face a packed agenda, including a Youth Conference, Project Collaboration, SDGs Training, Innovation Speech, and Volunteering Exchange. All programmes are comprehensively designed to hone the leadership, creativity, and global insight of the participants. Regarding the focus the UBSI delegation will bring, Cicih explained they will highlight crucial SDG issues relevant to their academic backgrounds. ‘Our main focus there is voicing sustainability issues, particularly those related to access to quality education and gender equality. This is an extraordinary opportunity for us to learn, share best practices, and collaborate directly with delegates from various countries in the Asia-Pacific and the world,’ Cicih added. The active participation of UBSI lecturers and students is expected to provide deep international experience for the students, while strengthening the real contribution of Indonesian youth on the global stage. This step is also in line with UBSI’s vision to continuously encourage its academic community to actively innovate and collaborate to create positive change at the global level. Cicih also placed high hopes on the two students accompanying her in this delegation to maximise their potential while in Bangkok. ‘I hope Bella and Kayla can absorb as much knowledge as possible and build the widest possible international network. Our presence in Bangkok proves that UBSI excels not only at the national level but is also ready to make a real contribution to addressing global challenges,’ she concluded optimistically.
