Dasco Has No Issue with BCA Share Purchases as Long as They Follow Market Mechanisms
House of Representatives Deputy Speaker Sufmi Dasco Ahmad has voiced no objection to the purchase of PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) shares, provided the transactions are lawful and conducted according to market mechanisms. On Thursday, 11 June 2026, BBCA shares were recorded as having risen 1.7 percent, trading at 5,750 per share. For Dasco, now is the right time to buy BBCA shares. “As long as it is done through market mechanisms, especially now that the shares are quite affordable, just buy them,” Dasco stated at the Parliament Complex in Jakarta. The Gerindra Party’s Daily Chairman said that BCA is one of the country’s strategic private companies. Therefore, purchasing BCA shares is not a problem as long as it follows capital market mechanisms. “Please go ahead and buy, because BCA is one of the strategic national private companies,” he said. The Jakarta Composite Index opened in negative territory this morning. The JCI weakened and fell to the 5,800 level. According to RTI data, the JCI stood at 5,889.29, down 0.22 percent or 13.07 points. At the opening, the JCI was at 5,899.26, with a high of 5,929.55 and a low of 5,850.57. Transaction volume was recorded at 3.60 billion shares, with a turnover of Rp 2.14 trillion and a transaction frequency of 259,927 times. A total of 226 stocks strengthened, 297 weakened, and 191 remained unchanged. Among the four major bank issuers, the price of BBCA shares posted the most positive gain today.
