Central Kalimantan Hajj Pilgrims from Group 06 Arrive at Banjarmasin Debarkation
Hajj pilgrims from Group 06 originating from Central Kalimantan Province, part of the Banjarmasin Debarkation, arrived back in the country after performing the Hajj pilgrimage for the year 1447 H / 2026 M. The Head of the Hajj Organising Committee (PPIH) for Banjarmasin Debarkation, Eddy Khairani, stated at the Hajj dormitory in Banjarbaru on Thursday that the BDJ 06 group, hailing from several districts in Central Kalimantan Province, arrived at Syamsuddin Noor International Airport at around 17.25 WITA. The combined group of 360 pilgrims from the districts of Kapuas, East Kotawaringin, Lamandau, Pulang Pisau, and Seruyan were immediately hosted at the Hajj dormitory in Banjarbaru. “Just like other Hajj pilgrim groups, they were served a banquet of Soto Banjar,” Eddy revealed. Eddy explained that the PPIH Banjarmasin Embarkation serves the departure and return of Hajj pilgrims from South Kalimantan Province and the neighbouring province of Central Kalimantan. This year, he said, there are a total of 19 flight groups, comprising 14 groups from South Kalimantan and five groups from Central Kalimantan, with a total of 6,804 pilgrims. With the arrival of Group 06, the total number of Banjarmasin Debarkation pilgrims who have returned home stands at 2,153 people. According to him, the Hajj journey is one full of struggle and sacrifice. After returning to the homeland, the real challenge is how to maintain the spirit of worship, sincerity, patience, and social care that was forged while in the Holy Land. “Hopefully all the pilgrims become hajjis and hajjahs who are mabrur and bring blessings to their families, communities, regions, and the nation,” he said. The PPIH Banjarmasin Debarkation continues to be committed to providing the best service in the repatriation process until all flight groups arrive back in their respective regions safely, orderly, and comfortably.
