The Indonesian government is preparing to implement the zero Over Dimension Over Loading (ODOL) policy, targeting trucks with excess dimensions and loads, on 1 January 2027. Responding to the ODOL truck policy, the Managing Director of PT Lookman Djaja Logistics, Kyatmaja Lookman, assessed that the long-planned regulation aims to realise a safe and secure logistics transport system. However, he noted there are several challenges in implementing the Zero ODOL rule related to its impact on transport cost increases of 5-10%.

On the other hand, the logistics industry is highlighting the 2025 change to the Indonesian Standard Industrial Classification (KBLI), which impacts the business competitiveness of the logistics and warehousing sector. The policy affects tax calculations and changes to permit management, which will complicate matters for business operators.

In facing various logistics business challenges, PT Lookman Djaja Logistics is implementing a number of strategies to support business growth, including driving digital technology transformation through the utilisation of a Transportation Management System (TMS) and the Internet of Things (IoT).
