The Chairman of the PKB Central Executive Board (DPP), Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin), has officially appointed Najmi Mumtaza Rabbany (Gus Najmi) as the new Daily Chairman of the DPP PKB. “The commitment of Chairman Gus Muhaimin, who always provides space for young people, will be answered with work, consolidation, and PKB’s victory in 2029. Please pray for us,” said Gus Najmi in a written statement in Jakarta on Thursday. The appointment was conveyed directly by Cak Imin before all participants of the Party Management Coordination and Consolidation Meeting, which was attended by the DPP PKB leadership and all PKB Regional Executive Board (DPW) chairpersons across Indonesia on Wednesday evening (10/6). Gus Najmi’s appointment is part of strengthening organisational consolidation and the party’s preparations for strategic agendas heading towards the 2029 General Election. Previously, the position of Daily Chairman of the DPP PKB was held by Ais Shafiyah Asfar. The mandate has now been entrusted to Gus Najmi to continue strengthening organisational governance, cadre consolidation, and the acceleration of various strategic party programmes. Furthermore, Gus Najmi emphasised that strengthening the party structure from the DPW, Branch Executive Board (DPC), Sub-branch Executive Board (DPAC) levels, down to the legislature and grassroots cadres will be the main focus of the organisational consolidation agenda. In addition, leadership regeneration, expanding the base of public support, and increasing youth involvement will be important parts of efforts to achieve PKB’s victory in the 2029 General Election. Gus Najmi’s appointment is part of PKB’s commitment to strengthening leadership regeneration and preparing a party that is increasingly solid, modern, and responsive to the times. With this spirit, PKB is optimistic it can continue to expand public support and face the 2029 General Election with greater strength.
