Keep Bromo clean Twenty years ago I visited Bromo, East Java, and it was a serene, clean and quiet place. Nature is still beautiful there but the place has become awful: noise, stink and dirt -- all that one wants to escape in city. On my way up from the caldera to Braga Permai I counted 10 motorcycles alone, pervading the area with an unbearable stench. Paper and plastic are scattered all over.

The turnpike will connect the Jakarta-Tangerang toll road in Meruya, Kebon Jeruk to the Jl. Prof. Dr. Sedyatmo toll road in Penjaringan. The construction, targeted for completion in three years, is part of the 60-kilometer Jakarta outer ring road project.

Cranberries show postponed JAKARTA (JP): The Cranberries, a popular Irish band, have postponed their Jakarta concert scheduled for June 28 due to an injury suffered by the lead singer Dolores O'Riordan. The singer suffered a torn knee ligament which made it difficult for her to stand by the end of a show on June 5 in Canberra.

One of the employees found the store messed up the following morning, he said.
