Steam

With reference to Mr. Hayton's letter (The Jakarta Post, June 14, 1996, Soccer without chili) whilst on one hand I agree that everyone is free to put chili wherever he likes, on the other hand I fully disagree to the remaining content of his letter.

According Mr. Hayton, all Euro 66 matches should be in the "original language" although, in a fit of magnanimity, he would be ready to grant Indonesian commentators a "few short and concise slips of information." Let me congratulate Mr. Hayton on the great esteem and consideration he has shown towards them.

Fair play aside, I would like an explanation about the meaning of "original" language. According to Mr. Hayton, should the match Turkey vs Portugal be in the Turkish or in the Portuguese "original language" ?
