Police receive forensic evidence of brutal killing JAKARTA (JP): The National Police Forensic Laboratory has handed over to City Police the examination results of the finger prints and other pieces of material evidence gathered at the scene of the crime of Monday's brutal killing. Indonesian diplomats It was a shock to me to read the news report which disclosed that our diplomats are poor debaters. (The Jakarta Post, Sept. 22). Since the opinion was expressed in the House of Representatives, it is worth commenting. There is no doubt about the credibility of the judgment, coming as it did from the number one diplomat, to quote the Post. However, our legislators must know that functionally speaking the diplomatic mission can be classified into two categories.

Tin export quotas to be scrapped by June SINGAPORE (Reuter): The Association of Tin Producing Countries (ATPC) has decided to scrap tin export quotas in June 1996, a Malaysian Chamber of Mines official said. "As far as the quotas are concerned, they will end at the end of June 1996," Muhamad Nor Muhamad, the chamber executive secretary, told Reuters yesterday. He said the decision was taken at the ATPC ministerial meeting in Santa Cruz, Bolivia in September which he attended.

Pilot's body recovered BANDA ACEH, Aceh: Search and Rescue workers found Wednesday the body of the pilot of a light plane that crashed into a swamp in Pucuk Lembang-Kandang in southern Aceh on Tuesday, a press report said yesterday. The body of R. Hutapea, 60, was pulled from the cockpit of the Sabang Merauke Air Charter's Cassa 212 plane, which nose-dived into a two-meter deep swamp in thick jungle, Antara reported.
