Agriculture Minister dismisses 27 officials in August over budget irregularities and online gambling
Agriculture Minister Andi Amran Sulaiman has removed 27 echelon officials from the Ministry of Agriculture during August 2026 over alleged budget irregularities and involvement in online gambling. Thirteen officials were permanently dismissed for verified gambling activity, while 14 others were removed over suspected misuse of billions of rupiah. The minister said the move is part of efforts to strengthen bureaucratic integrity and that cases involving state losses will be referred to law enforcement.
