Man detained for killing friend JAKARTA (JP): South Jakarta Police arrested two unemployed men yesterday for killing a friend on Jl. Pinang Kali Jati, in Cilandak, Sunday. Cilandak Police Chief Capt. Nurhayati said Tutuk Raharjo, 37, and Rahmat Saleh, 23, beat and stabbed Suwarso to death because the victim had often stolen their clothes. Tutuk was arrested in a house in the area while Rahmat was arrested in South Banten, West Java, Nurhayati said.

Delta opens new plant JAKARTA (JP): PT Delta Djakarta, which produces Anker Beer, Anker Stout, San Miguel, Carlsberg and Shanta Shandy, opened its new factory and headquarters with an investment of US$68.2 million, in Bekasi, West Java, yesterday. The company's president, Rubian Harahap, said the brewery could make 90 million liters a year, 50 percent more than its former plant in North Jakarta. Rubian said the brewery started production last October.
