Nuclear plant to start in 1998 PURWOKERTO, Central Java (JP): The government will start construction of a 7,000 Mega Watt nuclear-powered generator on a 500-hectare plot at Balong village in the Jepara regency in 1998, Central Java Governor Suwardi said on Saturday. He told The Jakarta Post that the Rp 52 trillion (US$23.7 billion) generator is expected to meet the increasing demands for electricity in Central Java. The electricity generator will be activated by 12 nuclear reactors.

However, right after the upgrade I started having problems editing the files that I had previously created in Version 3.01. Each time I tried to activate Thesaurus, Ami Pro returned a message that it couldn't find the necessary files. So, thinking that the installation procedure was not perfectly carried out, I reinstalled the entire suite. I still got the same message.

Head of the mayoralty's population office Nurzul Noor said that most of the temporary cards were issued in Tanah Abang and Sawah Besar districts. The issuance of so many temporary cards in the two districts, the city's major business centers, was caused by the fact a large number of seasonal workers make their living in the areas, he said.

Copper, nickel at new highs LONDON (AFP): Copper and nickel held center stage last week, rising to new highs on the London Metal Exchange (LME) on, respectively, continued stock downdraws and problems at Russian group Norilsk, which produces 15 percent of the world's nickel. Dealers believe production has slumped by some 30 percent at Norilsk, which has been hit by two major power problems this month. They believe production will not now recover until spring.

I have tested some of them by using an electric conductor. My tests showed that the mineral waters did not conduct electric any current. This means that the water did not contain minerals. Two detained for inciting riot BANDUNG, West Java: The police are still holding two persons suspected of inciting last week's riot between several thousand roadside vendors and pedicab drivers and security forces. The suspects, identified only as Sh, 19, and Bah, 22, were two of the 11 initially arrested on suspicion of masterminding the riot in which many shops and vehicles were vandalized.
