Mayor declares war on dengue SEMARANG, Central Java: Semarang Mayor Sukawi Sutarip called for more support on Monday from 177 subdistrict heads in the fight against dengue fever as 24 children have died because of the illness this year. Polio vaccination drive 95% on target JAKARTA: The Jakarta Health Agency estimates that more children under five in the city have taken part in the third polio vaccination program than the previous programs. "We still have until Wednesday to carry out house-to-house calls in search of unvaccinated children," agency spokeswoman Zelvyno said on Monday. She said that the agency noted that 879,388 children had received the oral vaccine, or 95.28 percent of the targeted 922,263 children.
