Asia-Europe meeting kicks off on Bali

NUSA DUA, Bali: Top immigration officials from 39 Asian and
European countries will participate in the Fourth Asia-Europe
Meeting on Immigration at the Bali International Conference
Center in Nusa Dua, Bali.

The meeting, which will officially open on Tuesday and run
through Dec. 7, will focus on the management of migration flows.

The three-day meeting will also have on the agenda visa and
passport systems, joint monitoring of border areas, advance
passenger assessment, technical and operational assistance and
other contentious topics relating to migration. -- JP
