Suspected vehicle thieves arrested DENPASAR, Bali: Badung Police apprehended separately on Saturday three people who are allegedly responsible for at least 15 motorcycle thefts in the area over the past three months. Police detective chief Sr. Insp. Husein Abubakar identified on Sunday the three as Syamsul Hadi, Iwan Gendut and Ahmad Novel. The first two were alleged to be the robbers while the latter the broker who received the stolen vehicles.

Copyright pirates caught in KL KUALA LUMPUR (AFP): A collapsing ceiling trapped two Malaysian copyright pirates when enforcement officers raided a storeroom, reports said Sunday. The Star newspaper said the officers noticed a ceiling panel bulging and about to cave in. When they checked they found that more than 20,000 video compact discs had been hastily hidden there. The value of the pirated VCDs, seized Friday in the southern city of Johor Baru, was put at almost 118,000 ringgit ($31,052).
