Terrible parking fee From Suara Karya When I attended the Gaikindo Auto Expo 2000 at the Senayan Convention Hall recently, I had to pay Rp 1000 to park my motorbike, twice the amount fixed by the government. The fee was exorbitant and no receipt was issued to me by the man who wasn't wearing a uniform. I'm writing this letter to alert the Jakarta Metropolitan administration to take measures to straighten out the illegal collection of parking fees by unauthorized persons.

I was very surprised to read that some 90 members of the working committees of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) plan to travel abroad (including the USA, Canada and some European countries) to disseminate information about the outcome of the 2000 Annual Session of the MPR. The big question here is who do the legislators work for? If they work for the people, they should not come up with such an outlandish idea.

The main question is what is the purpose? And the cost is very high. It's said the socialization cost is about Rp 25 billion.
