Nirwan Bakrie of Pelita Jaya, who secured Kurniawan after he wrapped up his two-year stay with Swiss Premiership club FC Lucerne last May, said that the 20-year-old striker has moved to Sampdoria for a modest US$50,000 transfer fee.

ABB wins Indonesian order ZURICH (Reuter): Electrical engineering group ABB Asea Brown Boveri AG said yesterday it had been awarded a second contract to deliver coal-fired boilers, with a value of around US$250 million, to a private power plant in Indonesia. ABB said in a statement that the order was placed by PT Jawa Power, which will own and operate the station, part of the Paiton power project located about 100 km southeast of Surabaya in East Java.
