I think the question : "Who is the TVRI fee for?"
is still relevant. Every month the people from the TVRI
Foundation come to every home to collect the monthly fee.
Although it is called a "contribution" we have a moral obligation
to pay the fee to ensure the continuity of TVRI.

Yet we do not get the information we need or any real news
from TVRI, we get them from private TV stations. Yet they don't
receive a single penny of the money collected. For example, we
only got selected fragments of the news about the PDI conflict,
thus impairing our understanding of the problem. TVRI's newscasts
are biased and treat Megawati's faction like a "step-child."
Therefore, I, and I believe all other TV owners, want fairer and
more comprehensive as well as balanced news.
