Singapore leaders demand $929,000 from 'IHT' daily SINGAPORE (AFP): Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong yesterday demanded S$500,000 (US$357,000) in damages from the International Herald Tribune (IHT) over a 1994 article alleging political nepotism in Singapore. My husband, a foreigner, commented on the cleanliness, the many attractions and the organized rides. All in all, we had a wonderful day out. At six p.m. we decided to go back home by taxi. There were a few parked across from the entrance, mostly President taxis but also some "Express", "Dian" and others.
