My flight from Jakarta to Banjarmasin was excellent. However, the return flight on Nov. 17, 1995 was not without problems. First the flight was slightly delayed then, due to technical problems, the aircraft had to return to Banjarmasin. It was here that problems began to come up.

For some years now the area has been a parking zone. The parking attendant charges Rp 300 for each motor vehicle stopping in front of my stall, even though the driver may just make a small purchase, leaving his motor run, and leave after two minutes.

Obituary
Obituary Tino Sidin, one of Indonesia's most famous drawing teachers, died of cancer in Jakarta yesterday. He was 70 years old. Tino was being treated in the Dharmais Cancer Hospital for cancer of the colon since he was first diagnosed with the disease a year ago. A father of five, Tino became famous when he started hosting the Gemar Menggambar (Love to Draw) program on the state-owned television station TVRI in 1978.
