Papuan Customary Council Rejects Minister Bahlil's Call to Settle Raja Ampat Nickel Mining Case Through Customary Law
The Papuan Customary Council (DAP) has spoken out regarding a unilateral statement by Investment Minister and BKPM Head Bahlil Lahadalia suggesting that the suspected criminal nickel mining case in the Raja Ampat world conservation area, South West Papua, should be resolved through customary law. DAP Secretary General Yan Christian Warinussy firmly rejected political intervention in the handling of the matter.

Danantara Plans Rp 130 Trillion Investment for Subsidised Housing
JAKARTA, investor.id – The Daya Anagata Nusantara Investment Management Agency (Danantara Indonesia), acting on instructions from President Prabowo Subianto, plans to invest Rp 130 trillion in subsidised housing construction. Danantara has indicated that the funding scheme has been finalised, whilst the Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas said technical discussions are still being developed.

10,000-Metre-High Ash Cloud Following Volcanic Eruption in Indonesia
A major eruption from the Lewotobi volcano on the island of Flores in Indonesia has sent an enormous ash cloud into the sky. Authorities have urged people to stay away from the volcano. The ash cloud reportedly reached ten kilometres in height, according to Indonesia’s Centre for Volcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation. No injuries have been reported from the eruption.

Buton Produces 100,000 Tonnes of Asphalt Annually, Production Needs to Reach 5 Million Tonnes to End Imports
