Indonesia's Insurance Industry Faces Wave of Change Ahead of MDRT Day 2025
Indonesia's insurance industry is confronting a wave of change that demands rapid adaptation and innovative strategies to remain relevant and sustainable. The Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) Day Indonesia 2025, scheduled for 23 July 2025, has placed this crucial issue at the centre of its agenda.
Billy Tegar Pradipta, Chairman of MDRT Day Indonesia 2025, emphasised that regulatory changes and market dynamics are compelling agents and insurance business players to continually adapt. "Following the current of change is the key to surviving and succeeding in this industry," he said whilst outlining preparations for MDRT Day Indonesia 2025 in Jakarta on Monday.
Recognising these significant challenges, MDRT Day Indonesia 2025 has adopted the theme "Overcoming The Limits," aimed at helping insurance professionals overcome various constraints arising from change, whether physical, mental, or emotional.
Togar Pasaribu, Executive Director of the Indonesian Life Insurance Association (AAJI), stated that MDRT serves as an important platform for marketing professionals to enhance their capacity as internationally recognised financial planners. AAJI and MDRT are committed to continuing their collaboration in nurturing and producing professional and ethical insurance agents.
AAJI is also targeting improvements in professionalism and work ethics amongst insurance agents. "We want to ensure that every product marketing process is conducted responsibly and in accordance with best practice standards," Togar affirmed.
The professionalism of marketing professionals serves as the primary foundation for maintaining customer trust and driving industry growth. They not only offer products but also provide financial protection solutions tailored to the long-term needs of the public.
It is hoped that industry leaders will be able to recruit new talent, including from outside the industry, so that the insurance agent profession continues to grow and gain wider recognition.
