Market fire injures 11 JAYAPURA, Irian Jaya: Entrop market here caught fire on Sunday during a fight between residents of different ethnic groups, Antara reported. At least 11 people were seriously injured in the fight. They were admitted to three hospitals amid tight security by Police Mobile Brigade (Brimob) officers. Four villagers from Jayawijaya regency are reported to be in critical condition at Jayapura General Hospital. The seven other injured people were traders from Sulawesi.

Muhammad Toha, 17, and his brother Nirza, 9, are being treated separately at Tangerang General Hospital and Cipto Mangunkusumo General Hospital in Central Jakarta respectively for severe burn injuries. Nirza suffered 90 degree burns, including his face. Until Sunday evening, he was still unconscious.
