Six men arrested over fatal attack in South Jakarta JAKARTA (JP): Cilandak police detectives in South Jakarta have arrested six men, including a high school student, believed to have fatally attacked two customers of a street food trader. During the pre-dawn attack, one of the customers, identified as Mulat Sutrisno, 22, a private employee, died after being stabbed dozens of times. RI allocates oil exports TOKYO (Reuter): State-owned Indonesian oil firm Pertamina has allocated for export about 345,000 barrels per day (bpd) of crude oil for October liftings, oil traders said yesterday. October's allocation was considerably larger than the previous month, when the allocation was 242,000-243,000 bpd. Traders said Pertamina's allocation of its main Minas crude oil was 69,600 bpd in October, compared with 70,000 bpd in September.

Timber smuggling uncovered SURABAYA: The authorities are investigating a report that a company smuggled 6,000 cubic meters of timber out of Tanjungperak port here and sent it to Singapore. Spokesman for the state-owned forestry company, Perhutani, Marsanto said that the smugglers had forged documents to get the timber out of storage. He identified the smuggler as PT RKM, which he suspects collaborated with Perhutani officials to obtain the export documents.
