Four questioned over copied phones JAKARTA (JP): City police spokesman Lt. Col. Bambang Permantoro confirmed to reporters yesterday that four entertainers have been questioned by city police for using counterfeit hand phones. A police source said the four entertainers have been identified as Deddy Dhukun, Yacob, Baliyanto, and Dicky. Yacob, Dicky and Baliyanto were picked up by police on Wednesday and spent a night in police custody, the source said.

Bill Helmuth, Time-Life director of sales and marketing in Asia, told Reuters the move, which began in August, had been prompted by Singapore's infrastructure and distribution network. "It seems a logical move to make," Helmuth said.

Bank president Bobby Sudarso said the bonds, which will mature on Oct. 25, 2000, will be listed on the Surabaya Stock Exchange in mid-October. The lead underwriter of the bond issuance is PT Trimegah Securindolestari, with state-owned Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) acting as trustee.

TOEFL test From Media Indonesia On Sept. 2, 1995 I took the TOEFL test prepared by the National Development Planning Board. I was just curious to know what score I would achieve from such a test, which cost me Rp. 45,000. However, I was disappointed in the listening comprehension section of the test because of the bad sound system, which made listening difficult. No less than 300 people were taking the test at that time. I wonder whether the other participants had the same experience.
