Suit against Golkar rejected JAKARTA (JP): Golkar Party supporters cheered in triumph on Tuesday as the Supreme Court Justice banged the gavel disallowing a suit to dissolve the party, which had cited alleged violations in the past general election. A five-member panel of justices presided over by Asma Samik Ibrahim said in the verdict that there was a lack of legitimate evidence to support the suit filed by several non-governmental organizations (NGOs).

Malaysia palm oil prices end down KUALA LUMPUR (Reuters): Malaysia palm oil futures ended lower on profit-taking as players expected a sell-off in soyoil futures in Chicago trading later on Tuesday. Weak export data for July also pulled down the market, which rose to 20-month highs on Monday. At the close, the benchmark third-month October contract for Malaysian palm oil was down 22 ringgit at 1,235 ringgit (US$325) a ton after trading as low as 1,223. Volume was 2,665 lots.

Pertamina said in a statement that it reduced the price for automotive diesel oil by 4.8 percent to Rp 1,190 (12.7 U.S. cents) per liter, industrial diesel oil by 5 percent to Rp 1,215, kerosene by 5.9 percent to Rp 1,205 and fuel oil by 9 percent to Rp 808.
