Don't forget common people

I congratulate Megawati Soekarnoputri on her appointment as
the country's president and Hamzah Haz as the vice president.

As one of those who voted for the Indonesian Democratic Party
of Struggle (PDI Perjuangan) in the last election, I would like
to remind Megawati about the promises made during the election
campaign regarding the plight of the wong cilik (the common
people).

Up to now the members of PDI Perjuangan, both in the
legislature as well as the executive, have not given proper care
and attention to improving the common people's lot.

Hopefully, with Megawati as president, there will be ample
opportunities for the creating of policies and regulations which
favor the common people.
