Obituary JAKARTA (JP): The baritone-voice of sports commentator Sambas Mangundikarta will no longer entertain sports fans across the country. Sambas passed away on Wednesday at 2:00 a.m., succumbing to lung cancer. Sambas, who called badminton and soccer matches in the 1960s and 1970s, is survived by a wife, Siti Zuchra, and seven children. He was buried at the family cemetery in Subang, West Java. Sambas was admitted to Pelni Hospital in Petamburan, Central Jakarta, on March 8.

Hundreds of people were killed in the two latter tragedies. The Bogor accident took place on Friday when 14 students jumped into Cisadane River and drowned.
