(GRL), Talisman (Corridor) Ltd. and Pertamina (Indonesia) said gas deliveries have begun at the Corridor Gas Project to the Duri steamflood project in central Sumatra. In a news release, Gulf Indonesia said natural gas is being delivered through a 544-kilometer, or about 340-mile, pipeline constructed and operated by PT Perusahaan Gas Negara, the Indonesian state gas distribution/transmission company.

Habibie summoned several ministers and high ranking officials advising them about the plan to renovate his office in the Merdeka Palace. He wants to have an office with an atmosphere which will inspire him to think more seriously about the fate of the Indonesian people.
