DENVER (Dow Jones): Gulf Indonesia Resources Ltd. (GRL),
Talisman (Corridor) Ltd. and Pertamina (Indonesia) said gas
deliveries have begun at the Corridor Gas Project to the Duri
steamflood project in central Sumatra.
In a news release, Gulf Indonesia said natural gas is being
delivered through a 544-kilometer, or about 340-mile, pipeline
constructed and operated by PT Perusahaan Gas Negara, the
Indonesian state gas distribution/transmission company.
The Duri project is operated by PT Caltex Pacific Indonesia.
Gulf Indonesia said that by the end of the year, the Corridor
Gas Project should produce about 300 million cubic feet a day of
sales gas, displacing about 48,000 barrels a day of crude oil
currently being used to generate steam at Duri, the largest
steamflood project in the world.
