Three civil servants (ASN) in the Gianyar Regency Government have been dismissed. Two of them were terminated due to involvement in narcotics cases, while one civil servant was sacked for being absent from work for 10 days.

The two ASN dismissed in connection with narcotics are initialled DMCDPP, a member of the Gianyar Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP), and KSS, who serves as the Operational General Manager at the Environmental Agency. Both were dismissed based on the results of a meeting of the Legal Disciplinary Consideration Team (TPHD).

The Chairman of TPHD Gianyar, I Gusti Bagus Adi Widhya Utama alias Gus Bem, explained that another civil servant initialled LNH was also dismissed. LNH is an operational general manager employee at the Gianyar Environmental Agency.

“One more civil servant initialled LNH, who is also an operational general manager employee at the Gianyar Environmental Agency, was dismissed because the individual did not report to work without reason for ten working days,” said TPHD Gianyar Chairman I Gusti Bagus Adi Widhya Utama alias Gus Bem in his statement on Tuesday (5/5).

Gus Bem stated that DMCDPP and KSS were involved in narcotics cases as owners and intermediaries. Both have been found guilty through court decisions.

These decisions are respectively contained in the Denpasar District Court Decision Number 1473/Pid.Sus/2025/PN and the Gianyar District Court Decision Number 12/Pid.Sus/2026/PN.

“The individuals concerned were dismissed in accordance with Law Number 20 of 2023 on Civil Servants, and Government Regulation Number 49 of 2018 on PPPK Management,” said Gus Bem.

Gus Bem emphasised that all dismissal decisions have been in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. This step is a form of commitment by the Gianyar Regency Government in enforcing discipline, integrity, and professionalism among civil servants.

“The Gianyar Regency Government will not tolerate serious disciplinary violations or criminal acts committed by civil servants, because ASN must serve as examples in providing services to the public,” he said.

He hopes that these dismissals will serve as lessons for all employees to maintain ethics and comply with rules in carrying out their duties.

In addition, the direct superiors of the problematic employees will also face sanctions if proven to have been negligent.

“In the future, if there is negligence towards undisciplined employees and the direct superior does not take firm action, then the superior concerned may also be sanctioned, including the possibility of being removed from their position,” he said.
