Resourceful students
Resourceful students

Much has to be done to solve the problem of the frequent
student brawls in Jakarta. I think the Ministry of Education and
Culture should improve the school curriculum.
Young people are energetic, emotional and adventurous and
failure to channel these youthful qualities can lead to
anarchism, frustration and even crime. Juvenile delinquency can
be solved through betterment of educational activities,
enhancement of sportsmanship as well as mental and physical
innovation.
If additional hours for sports are unlikely because of
constraints of facilities, then the students should be allowed to
have some business-like activities which have recreational
significance. Teenagers are productive in nature, so they should
be directed in a such a way that they learn how to manage a
certain type of business fairly and be competitive.
For example, cooperatives are a school subject that can be
practiced in real life. The school can send them to shops,
companies or government institutions for training. By so doing
the students will gain practical knowledge on how to manage a
cooperative which will be useful for their future.
The most important thing for the students is that they should
be taught to work hard to achieve some goal instead of resorting
to negative shortcuts. The present tycoons were at one time hard
working youngsters, especially in the business sector. Youngsters
should start loving entrepreneurship which call for hard work and
sportsmanship. We should possess quality human resource if we
want to be successful in this era of globalization.
