The Bekasi Metro Police have dismantled a rented house used as a warehouse storing 187,570 illegal category G hard‑drug tablets in Tambun Selatan district, Bekasi Regency, West Java, during a security and public order patrol. ‘Firm action against the distribution of illegal hard drugs is a manifestation of the commitment to maintain public safety and order,’ said Bekasi Metro Police Chief Senior Commissioner Sumarni in Cigakom, as quoted by Antara, on Wednesday (4/3). The head of police explained that the case was revealed following information from the public and followed up by patrols at two high‑risk points, Jalan Warung Doyong Kebon Kelapa and Jalan Kampung Cibuntu, Tambun Selatan. The patrol, led by Sumarni, suspected a young man at Jalan Warung Doyong, Kampung Kebon Kelapa. After inspection, authorities found 18 sheets (180 tablets) of tramadol, 27 clips (108 tablets) of Hexymer, and proceeds amounting to Rp1,287,000.

The authorities conducted an initial interrogation of the suspect, identified by initials AR, which led to a rented house suspected of storing illegal hard‑drug stock. Police promptly carried out a search and seized valuable evidence in large quantities, including 136 bottles (136,000 tablets) of Hexymer, 28 bottles (28,000 tablets) of Double Y, 2,267 sheets (22,670 tablets) of Try X, and 80 sheets (800 tablets) of Tramadol.

‘Total evidence reached hundreds of thousands of illegal hard‑drug tablets believed ready for distribution and targeting teens and the general public. We also seized an iPhone, a red Honda Vario motorcycle with plate B 5707 FJZ, and two Bank BCA ATM cards,’ she said.

The suspect, a resident of Kampung Kebon Kelapa RT 006/RW 003, Desa Tambun, Tambun Selatan, was immediately detained and handed over to the Satresnarkoba unit of the Metro Bekasi Police for further legal processing. The chief of police assured that the crackdown on illegal drug networks would extend to their roots, alongside continued patrols aimed at preventing public order disturbances such as clashes and street crime.

‘We also focus on illegal hard‑drug circulation that damages the younger generation. This is a serious concern because of its dangerous impact, especially on adolescents, and we will continue to increase patrols, seizures and firm action against perpetrators,’ she added.

This firm action demonstrates the seriousness of the Metro Bekasi Police in keeping the area conducive and protecting youths from the dangers of illegal drug abuse. Sumarni also urged the public to report any form of public order disturbances or illegal drug distribution by using the public complaint information channel.
