Jakarta - The Indonesian National Police (Polri) has designated drug courier Akhsan Al Fadhil, alias Genda, as a suspect following his arrest on 24 February 2026. Genda operated as part of a narcotics syndicate headed by Erwin, also known as Koko Erwin.

Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso, Director of the Narcotics Crime Division at Polri’s Criminal Investigation Command, explained that the designation resulted from an investigation into Erwin’s involvement in the abuse and distribution of Class I methamphetamine in the Bima region of West Nusa Tenggara.

“Based on the examination of suspect Erwin, it was established that his narcotics distribution activities were not conducted alone, but in collaboration with an associate named Akhsan Al Fadhil, alias Genda,” Eko stated during a press briefing confirmed in Jakarta on Sunday.

Following this finding, a joint task force from the Narcotics Division and the National Intelligence Agency conducted surveillance and tracking operations targeting Genda. Through information technology analysis and location tracking, authorities discovered that Genda was attempting to flee to Pekanbaru, Riau Province.

On 24 February 2026, the combined task force conducted sweeps in the Pekanbaru area. “At approximately 22:00 WIB, the team successfully apprehended a male individual identified as Akhsan Al Fadhil, alias Genda, at a food stall located on Jl. SM Amin, Pekanbaru, Riau,” Eko reported.

During initial interrogation, Genda revealed that he had previously transported 1.5 kilogrammes of methamphetamine obtained from a contact known as “Bos Aceh” (Boss Aceh) for distribution in Bima. The methamphetamine was transported from Jakarta to Bima via road using a Toyota Raize vehicle belonging to Erwin.

Upon arrival at Marina Inn Hotel in Bima at approximately 20:00 Central Indonesian Time, 500 grammes of methamphetamine were brought by Genda to room number 415 for reweighing and storage. “This 500-gramme quantity was subsequently collected by Senior Police Commissioner Malaungi, the Narcotics Division head of Bima City Police,” Eko continued.

The remaining one kilogramme of methamphetamine was reportedly collected by an individual named Awan.

Following the designation of the suspect, Polri will continue investigating the wider network involved in the syndicate and conduct forensic examination of evidence at the National Police Forensics Laboratory.

The case remains connected to allegations involving Senior Police Commissioner Didik Putra Kuncoro, who received a dishonourable discharge on 19 February 2026.
