JAKARTA — Indonesia’s Ministry for Protection of Migrant Workers (KP2MI) sealed the office of the Indonesian Migrant Worker Placement Company (P3MI) PT Panca Banyu Aji Sakti in Balekambang Village, Kramat Jati District, East Jakarta on Tuesday, 10 March 2026.

The sealing followed evidence that the company had violated numerous regulations governing migrant worker placement procedures.

Rinardi, the Director-General for Worker Protection at KP2MI, explained that the sanction was imposed after the ministry received public complaints against the company. According to Rinardi, the company violated the Ministry Regulation on Protection of Migrant Workers Number 4 of 2025.

The company failed to conduct the selection process for prospective Indonesian migrant workers (CPMI) through regional labour offices. Rinardi stated: “The company did not report the results of the selection of prospective migrant workers to relevant agencies. It failed to register or require prospective migrant workers to attend Pre-Departure Orientation (OPP).”

As a result, prospective migrant workers departed without receiving briefings on workplace culture, employment contracts, or procedures in their destination countries.

Additionally, the company placed prospective migrant workers in countries with closed placement status for domestic workers. Rinardi noted: “The company placed prospective migrant workers in countries designated as closed. According to the 2015 Minister of Manpower Regulation Number 260, there is a moratorium on placing domestic workers in 15 countries in the Middle Eastern region, which remains in effect.”

During the investigation, the ministry summoned the company’s Chief Executive Director three times for clarification. The ministry also examined data on work visa issuance through the Enjaz system.

Rinardi stated: “It should be understood that our action is an administrative process. We will monitor this for three months as a guidance process. If there is no improvement, only then will the company’s operating licence be revoked.”

At the site, the sealing was carried out by placing large boards and stickers marked “Temporary Suspension” on the company office. No activity was visible inside the building, which appeared empty except for several bed frames without mattresses on the second floor. Cobwebs and thick dust in several corners of the room indicated that the office had likely not operated for some time.
