        "content": "<p>JAKARTA \u2014 Indonesia\u2019s Ministry for Protection of Migrant Workers\n(KP2MI) sealed the office of the Indonesian Migrant Worker Placement\nCompany (P3MI) PT Panca Banyu Aji Sakti in Balekambang Village, Kramat\nJati District, East Jakarta on Tuesday, 10 March 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The sealing followed evidence that the company had violated numerous\nregulations governing migrant worker placement procedures.<\/p>\n<p>Rinardi, the Director-General for Worker Protection at KP2MI,\nexplained that the sanction was imposed after the ministry received\npublic complaints against the company. According to Rinardi, the company\nviolated the Ministry Regulation on Protection of Migrant Workers Number\n4 of 2025.<\/p>\n<p>The company failed to conduct the selection process for prospective\nIndonesian migrant workers (CPMI) through regional labour offices.\nRinardi stated: \u201cThe company did not report the results of the selection\nof prospective migrant workers to relevant agencies. It failed to\nregister or require prospective migrant workers to attend Pre-Departure\nOrientation (OPP).\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As a result, prospective migrant workers departed without receiving\nbriefings on workplace culture, employment contracts, or procedures in\ntheir destination countries.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the company placed prospective migrant workers in\ncountries with closed placement status for domestic workers. Rinardi\nnoted: \u201cThe company placed prospective migrant workers in countries\ndesignated as closed. According to the 2015 Minister of Manpower\nRegulation Number 260, there is a moratorium on placing domestic workers\nin 15 countries in the Middle Eastern region, which remains in\neffect.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>During the investigation, the ministry summoned the company\u2019s Chief\nExecutive Director three times for clarification. The ministry also\nexamined data on work visa issuance through the Enjaz system.<\/p>\n<p>Rinardi stated: \u201cIt should be understood that our action is an\nadministrative process. We will monitor this for three months as a\nguidance process. If there is no improvement, only then will the\ncompany\u2019s operating licence be revoked.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>At the site, the sealing was carried out by placing large boards and\nstickers marked \u201cTemporary Suspension\u201d on the company office. No\nactivity was visible inside the building, which appeared empty except\nfor several bed frames without mattresses on the second floor. Cobwebs\nand thick dust in several corners of the room indicated that the office\nhad likely not operated for some time.<\/p>",
