National Nutrition Agency to Establish Nutrition Service Offices in Every Region
Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) Dadan Hindayana stated that his agency will establish around 20 Nutrition Fulfilment Service Offices (KPPG) in Bogor Regency. These offices are tasked with planning, implementing, evaluating, and reporting on the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme at the district/city and provincial levels directly to the BGN head.
“The coordination of the KPPG falls directly under the BGN. This means the head of the KPPG coordinates directly with me regarding the MBG programme. The KPPG can be regarded as the BGN’s extension in the regions, and its officials must be experts in their fields,” said Dadan after inaugurating the Cijujung SPPG on Wednesday, 15 April 2026.
Dadan emphasised that the KPPG structure will only be filled by Civil Servants (ASN). The recruitment process will also be handled directly by the BGN. According to him, the main focus of the KPPG is to coordinate nutrition fulfilment programmes, particularly MBG, while managing and supervising distribution to ensure it reaches the intended targets.
“One KPPG will coordinate around 50 SPPG. In Bogor Regency, the MBG kitchens are projected to reach around a thousand units. Therefore, we will establish around 20 KPPG. The locations include Leuwiliang, Ciawi, and other areas in Bogor Regency,” stated Dadan.
During the inauguration of the Cijujung 03 Nutrition Fulfilment Service Unit (SPPG) in Sukaraja Subdistrict, Dadan described the facility as “perfect.” He assessed that the kitchen and its staff have met the BGN’s operational standard procedures, from the cleanliness of the location and hygiene of raw materials to health checks for employees.
All SPPG staff, he said, not only undergo health tests but also narcotics tests by the National Narcotics Agency (BNN).
“I hope other SPPG can emulate the standards here, so that the MBG programme truly runs as expected—with hygienic food and all staff free from drugs,” said Dadan.
Chair of the Bogor Regency Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), Sintha Dec Checawaty, welcomed the directive. She stated that Kadin is currently managing 15 SPPG, with a target of reaching 20 units in Bogor Regency.
“We will implement the same SOP as in this Cijujung SPPG: serving quality and hygienic MBG, and ensuring the health of all staff without exception. This is a government programme mandated directly by the President,” said Sintha.
