Letter #7
Letter #7
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am a student at Ipeka Bilingual School. Every day, I always
see rubbish on the street and nobody cares about it. Many people
throw rubbish everywhere. They don't want to obey the rules, but
if the big and heavy rains come, my neighbors and maybe everybody
else gets angry and talk about their ideas or plans to the head
of the neighborhood. They always say that they can't get comfort
in the neighborhood. They always judge that the head of the
neighborhood can't do his or her job well.
Last year, my father couldn't stop smoking and he got heart
disease. Luckily there was a miracle -- a doctor in Singapore
could help him and he became healthy again.
Air, land and water pollution make us live painfully. Every
day, many people die because of their unclean environment. Many
extreme diseases appear now. They can attack anybody and the
diseases can attack your lungs, heart, brain and every important
organ in your body.
We can solve this problem and we must believe that we can make
our country free from diseases. The first step to solve the
problem is we can clean our neighborhood together two days a week
and everybody must participate in cleaning their house and the
street outside their house.
The government can make some rules to arrange the country. An
example of a new rule is all factories must not dispose their
waste products into the rivers in this country.
I also believe that everyone can obey the rules for our life
and our happiness.
I am confident that my ideas can be successful and useful for
our lives. We must learn and do this process step by step, and we
must survive during the process of this proposal. Maybe many
people think that it is hard and they can't stop their habits.
But we must try it and we must never give up.
I hope that the government and all of Jakarta's people will
help our country to be a better country than before. Thank you
for your attention.
Sincerely
Cindy Karmoko
